About
Overview
Hi there, I'm Taylor Bromley and I live in Brighton, welcome to my webpage!
I'm a recent graduate of a BSc "Games and Multimedia Environments" degree at the University of Sussex where I achieved a First-Class Honours (80%). I'm searching for my first role in the gaming industry as an entry level/graduate programmer.
In the early days of my education, I struggled with learning and later found to be dyslexic. I worked very hard to overcome these issues and feel positive that it has made me a more thorough, methodical, detail orientated and tenacious individual.
Strengths and Aims
Having to work to deadlines for University projects has taught me to prioritise and schedule my time, but also be able to adapt to ever changing situations. I thrive in team environments i.e. where there have been group projects at University to create games, however, I am also very capable of working independently as the vast majority of assignments have been individual. I've worked very hard to achieve top grades over the past 5 years so consider myself to be determined and success driven. I've always had a creative mind and I find that it helps me in numerous ways and to visualise solutions to problems. When I was younger, I was very intested in design and would sketch out my ideas but since college, I found myself more interested and keen in game programming. I'm highly motivated and driven to put all the skills that I have learnt from my academic experience into a challenging and interesting graduate/entry level programming position. I would like to join a forward thinking, progressive and successful company.

In summer 2020, I purchased an online games course to enhance my skills and knowledge of programming in Unity. The course consisted of 5 unique games of varying styles/genres which I learnt to create. It was very useful and beneficial in broadening my overall knowledge in other aspects of games creation.
This summer, I have purchased multiple online Udemy games courses to enhance my skills and knowledge of programming in Unreal C++. These courses consist of various games including programming for online multiplayer which is an area I am interested in.
